the botanical garden is situated next to the main entrance of the University of the Saarland. Show and educational garden on scientific basis. 2,5-hectare landscape park with pond, mixed culture garden elements, pavilions, and benches. Conservatory area of 1200 m² spread out over several greenhouses with different climate zones. Administrative building with reception room. Service rooms. Guided tours. Collections: cultures of selected plant taxa (types, varieties, species or hybrids)  approx. 2500 samples. Library, slide library, pharmaceutical drug collection.
