Cafe Modern Teuven

brief description:

The small village of Teuven is situated in the tri-border region of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. What is today a café-restaurant used to be the village school: Café Modern is housed in a large brick building which, together with the adjoining former sports hall, is located on extensive grounds, enclosed by a high wrought-iron fence. Next to the former school building is a terrace with entrance to the café. With an eclectic style mix, the interior breathes a unique, passé atmosphere all of its own: the lamps are from different design decades, walls are covered with large print retro wallpaper, comfy lounge sofas invite guests to hang out, and next to the large counter, there is a Decap organ illuminated with neon-lights. A hallway leads to the restaurant, which is located in the former girls class room. Here too, the interesting retro interior creates a unique atmosphere. Rows of large windows offer a view of the surrounding former school grounds and the adjoining former sports hall, which has been transformed into an event hall (with stage). Between the café and the restaurant is the large, well-equipped kitchen with - all in keeping with the rest of Café Modern - retro wallpaper! Overall, this is a cosy, very unique location with creative design. All necessary production prerequisites, such as electricity, sanitary facilities, crew room facilities and parking, are available.
