The church was built in neo-Gothic style and finished in 1896 under German sovereignty. The vicarage was erected shortly thereafter to the right side of the church while the cemetery is situated on its left side

coming from Saarbrücken on the A620 and A8 motorways in the direction of Saarlouis, take exit no. 3 (Saarlouis). Proceed onto the B269/405 federal roads, then change onto the D918 secondary road going in the direction of Bouzonville. In Bouzonville, follow the D19 and, later, the D956 in the direction of Sierk. The church is situated on the right hand side as you enter the village of Halstroff
