brief description:

Also known as Flugausstellung Leo Junior, Europe´s largest private aeronautical museum was founded in 1973. Visitors can view 105 airplanes and helicopters of Western and Eastern origins, from the beginnings of aviation history up to the modern jet plane era, with commercial/civilian or military backgrounds. In addition, the museum boasts a collection of over 60 aircraft engines and propellers, as well as a great number of flight-technical items on display. The exhibition is housed in 4 large hangars and sprawled over a park-like terrain of 76.000 m². Hermeskeil Aviation Museum is easily accessible, situated in the Hunsrück, a low mountain range of particular beauty.
