description

brief description:

the manor, which dates back to the first half of the 18th century, recently underwent a fundamental restoration. Today, it is a government building, housing the seat of the Minister-President of the German-speaking Community of Belgium. The manor faces street side. The two parallel identical wings at the rear of the building formerly housed textile workers´ shops. The property has been designed around a paved interior court. From this court, on the open side of the horseshoe-shaped layout, a few steps lead up to a wrought-iron fence and gate framed by bluestone pillars, behind which lies a lovely garden with a fountain and century-old trees.
