Railway Station Gerolstein

brief description:

Historic railway station located in the city centre of the climatic spa town of Gerolstein, in the Vulkaneifel district of western Germany. Urban ambience with corresponding traffic and background noise, modern constructions and a road bridge. At present, the railway station is partly vacant, the 1960s style station restaurant, for example, is closed. The ticket hall is in use. The railway line is frequented by regional and commuter trains. Some historic elements, such as the stairwells leading to and fro the station platforms, or the 1950s ticket hall have (almost entirely) been preserved in their state of origin.
