Rue de la Congregation

brief description:

This long stretch of a street, located in the heart of Luxembourg City, is perfectly suited for filming scenes with a historical context. Cobblestone pavement, old street lanterns and beautiful stone facade buildings dating back to the 19th century fin-de-siècle create a very atmospheric mood reminiscent of days gone by. A slight curve at the end of the street lends a certain depth to the motif, while piquing the viewers curiosity about what's behind the bend  there is a square at the end of the rue de la Congrégation. The street's rather monotonous look resulting from the repetitious arrangement of one historic facade next to another is livened up by a church positioned between two houses. This motif is almost entirely void of any contemporary elements. There is some background noise due to the inner-city location. Parking available at both ends of the rue de la Congrégation.
